What's Available Where? How to Contribute?
The Blog
The Area 4 Blog is where you can post essays, articles, and commentary about any subject you think would be of interest to the Area 4 community. Other readers can post their comments and reactions to your blog posting.
Anyone can read the Area 4 Blog — it's publicly available online. But to submit your own postings or to comment, you'll need to be a Blog Member. How? Just send a request to the blog administrators and ask to become a Blog Member. And, if you already have your own blog, and would like us to list it there, just write and give us the information.
The Group
The Area 4 Google Group is for shorter comments, ongoing conversations, photos or art, and other contributions. Use it to ask questions, start discussions, poll your neighbors, announce whatever you'd like.
Only Group Members can read or post to the Area 4 Google Group. (This protects us from spam, trolls, flamage, and other unpleasant aspects of modern life online.) To become a member of the Area 4 Group, just write to the group administrators and ask. It's as easy as that.
Get a (free) Google Account first
NOTE: Both the Blog and the Group require a Google Account before becoming a member. Just visit the main Google page and use the "Sign in" link in the very upper right-hand corner of the page. If you don't already have a Google account, follow the instructions there to set one up — it's free. Once that's taken care of, you can write to us for either a Blog membership, a Group membership, or both.
